Is this normal for a lip piercing?

I pierced my lip last night, but I did it safely, I sterilized all of my equipment and made sure everything was clean. It's almost been a day since I pierced it, it's not red on the outside but red on the inside but that was because I had trouble getting it in on the other end. It's also swollen but I'm keeping it very clean. I don't have the piercing after care stuff but I made some saline which I read is good for cleaning out lip and tongue piercings, I don't really touch the hole itself but every so often I twist around the ring to keep it from crusting. Also the area on the inside of my mouth is swollen but not on the outside. Are there any tips to keep it from getting any worse?

I recnently got a 6 week to a month old kitten about a month ago. My sisters co worker found him abadoned and needed a home and my adult cat needed a pal so I took him in. When he got here I noticed he was doing a little bit of sneezing and had a bit of snot coming out. When I questioned the lady who found him she said that the vet said it was a passing cold and that he would be fine. So I let it go. After 2 weeks of seeing the sneezing get more frequent and a little more snot it was recommending that I use the antibiotics that I had remaining from previous kittens who had simulair problems ( recommended by a vet by phone for a small fee) so I did. This did not help. Now Im noticing that the snot is crusting on his nose and making it harder for him to breathe. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO TAKE HIM TO THE VET! Normally i would, i highly care about animals like they are my family. But thanks to state budget cuts my assistance got decreased and left me with barely enough money to pay rent. Can someone please give me something I can do at home or buy for cheap that can help this little guy out??? My heart is breaking there has to be something I can try! How do I get rid of Oral Herpes?!??!!?!?

Ok, so I 1st got oral herpes last Christmas and it has been coming back every to months and as it happens I have it right now. I went to the doctors and they gave me Valtrex. I had a severe allergic reaction to it. So I was taken off of it and was given abreva which doesn't work worth crap. The doctor told me there is only one other thing but, it is like a sister to Valtrex and it has 80% of the same ingredients and there is no way that I'm taking that because I don't want another bad reaction. So I'm screwed. I tried hot and cold compresses and pounded the vitamin C to me. It still won't leave it's been at least a good few weeks. I'm getting very ticked off. I only get a few hours of sleep because of it's oozing and gross crust I feel on my face. To make it even better it has spread from my lips to above the lip on my chin and developing on my cheek. How to prevent scarring when cut is almost healed?

I had a bad big abrasion on my skin, had cleaned it daily and always covered it with neosporin and bandage, and than i would start to let it breathe and air out, since it has stopped pussing, and all of the crust is off of it. Now the skin is just red on it, it looks like it is very close to healing. Thing is, what if it leave a big huge scar area? A whole area of scar tissue? Ick! I think my belly button is infected?

I got my belly button pierced 6 days ago and until today it has been pain free and tolerable for the most part. Today I noticed it was red, swollen, very sore, and I noticed white crust around the ball of the piercing. I've been cleaning it the way the piercer told me, with H2Ocean spray, but I'm not gonna lie...I've been playing with it a little and I think that's' why it's infected. Why do Omega 3 capsules increase my anxiety?

A year and a half ago I was taking Omega 3 supplements which amounted to 1200 mg of Omega 3 fatty acids a day and for a long time this greatly benefited me, it alleviated depression and anxiety etc. But recently whenever I take Omega capsules of any amount (even 300 mg) my anxiety shoots upwards and my problems become a lot worse. The weird thing is, whenever I eat raw salmon instead of taking the capsules I don't feel an increase in anxiety at all and salmon contains a significant amount of Omega 3 fatty acids. I've tried different brands and they all have the same negative effect upon me. If it's an allergic reaction to the capsules then how come I didn't feel the adverse effects a year and a half ago when I started taking them and if its too much Omega 3 then how come I don't feel any adverse effect when I eat salmon instead of taking the capsules?

But later they had it for sale and it was called the Golden Rabbit... something like that, after I bought that pack I never bought it again because I did not like it. But recently I saw this White Rabbit brand back on sale on at this supermarket. I tried goign to about 10 supermarkets and only 1 supermarket had it for sle while the other supermarkets contain Golden Rabbit. I finished 1 pack in 2 days because it was so good. But I would like to know is it safe to eat it now since it was toxic before. According to Wikipedia it said, "When White Rabbit candy was returned to export in 2009, it also underwent a name change to Golden Rabbit Creamy Candy. Aside of avoiding the marketing stigma associated with the tarnished White Rabbit name, the Golden Rabbit candy is made using milk from Australia instead of China. If it progresses to conjunctivitis there isn't much you can do except to protect the people you'll be with. If the swelling becomes painful and tender to touch it's likely an infected oil gland and should respond to not-too-hot water compresses.

New rook peircing in pain. need help ?

K i got my rook peirced a week ago. The peircing kinda hurt but its cause the thick cartilage i have. But i cleaned it everyday. But yesturday i was experiensing seriou pain in my ear i had cleaned it twice that day with my h2ocean spray. I that night it got so bad that i iced it for 2 hours then the pain was unbarable i looked at it in the mirror it wasnt badly swollen i had no crust on the peircing. Then i iced it more then finaly decided to take a percaset to ease the pain it helpped and i passed right out then i wokr up this morening my ear barly hurt but i was swollen to twice its normal size the balls werent covered but i cant see thbar anymore and i woke up to clean it and a thick crust was on it it was a yellow crust like afer you get a cut and it stops bleeding and you get the yellow crus on it thats wat it looked like. So i cleanned it off put h2ocen on it o clean it then i sea salted my ear for about 5 mins. Am i doing everything correctly i dont wan my peircing to be infected or haveo tak i out an how long will it take before the swelling goes down. I have two folders that I downloaded, the first folder is named DVD 1 the second DVD 2. Both contain files of the .001 type. There is a list of this kind of file type ranging from .001 through like .075 or how ever many in each folder. I can assume that this was a disk image that has been split into two separate file folders. I have combined with 7zip all of the files in each folder (DVD 1 and DVD 2) by right click>7zip>Extract Here. As I said, I have done this with each folder. Now I have these two massive files that need to be combined to make an ISO image. How?

I started stretching my ears two days ago and used acrylic tapers. I then put acrylic plugs in after stretching them. I know acrylic isn't good, but that's all I had and I'm buying stainless steel plugs this weekend. My kitten is sleepy and lethergic?

I have an 8 week old male & female kittens (brother & sister). We collected them yesterday morning from a cat rescue centre. They were both vaccinated (first treatment) on Friday. The male is lively, eating and going to the toilet fine. The female is lethargic, with runny stools and has vomited a couple of times. She is drinking water OK, but has not eaten. Her breathing and heart rate appear OK. Because she would not eat we have syringe fed her cat milk. This morning (4 hours ago) we took her to the vets as we were so concerned. The vet said her heart and temperature was fine. He gave her a broad spectrum anti-biotic injection and an injection to stop the vomiting. We have been given some paste that should thicken her stools and contains pro-biotics. We are now also syringe feeding her a pate/water mixture. Despite this her condition has not changed. She is still sleepy and lathargic. I am probably worrying too much, and the fact we lost our first cat to an abdominal tumour 2 months ago is fresh in my mind. When should we see any change in her?

I stopped stretching my ears and took out my 0g plugs in January. I remember experiencing problems with my ears once I stretched to 0g such as bleeding, swelling, crust, and pain. Toaster Strudel Issues?

Okay, so I eat Toaster Strudels every other morning. But for some reason, whenever I bite into one, the inside is still kind of frozen! (It's warm but its not jelly, like in the commercials) I put the toaster on the Medium setting but the middle doesn't cook through! The only way to get the middle jelly-like is to burn the crust!!! I have a 17 mth old, she is horrible, i am begining to hate my life?

Stubborn Clot Behind Severe Pain After Sinus Surgery?

16 days post op, sinus surgery - deviated septum, turbinate reduction, debridgement. Dr said more infection found than showed on CT. Extreme facial pain began 4 days post op - forehead, apples of checks, all top teeth. Spoke with PA who said it sounded like a clot with pressure behind. Saw Dr. 6 days post op for cleaning by suction of mucous, clots, etc. Very painful and I fought him off. Said he saw nothing unusual as in large clot. Pain has continued. Days since post op visit miserable with continued forehead, facial, and teeth pain. Thought I should be getting better. Continued to follow Dr's instructions to irrigate nasal passages with saline. Have seen small blood-tinged mucous and crusting rinsed away. Today, pain so great I have been unable to talk and considered going to ER. Have always gotten minimal relief from pressure with irrigation, so I rinsed 4 times today, back to back. This HUGE blood clot (obviously old as it was brown) rinsed out my nose. Immediately began to feel relief from pressure. I'm sure Dr. missed it because I fought him off (they need some type of anesthesia to do that!) but I am so relieved it has finally moved!

Ear piercing infection?

I just got my ears pierced six days ago and one ear in particular has been killing me. The other ear only hurt for the first two days, and now it feels perfectly fine. The one that I think is infected is still agonizingly painful. I just looked in the mirror and saw that my new piercing has sucked the stud in (it's a ball shape), and when I tried to push it out I saw a bit of blood and crust that I believe might be pus. This is my second ear piercing (I got the first when I was a baby.) Should I try and push it out? Should I rub ice on it to numb it first? Because it's infected, does this mean it's going to close up regardless of what I do if I have to take the earring out?

So, i was at a friends house and making cookies and she didn't wash her hands to start with. Then she spilled a little flour. She put it in the measuring cup from the table. Then she took a brush and pan and cleaned the floor with it, and then the table. Also, while this is happening, there was cooked meat on the stove and her mom put it away about an hour and half after i got there (not sure how long it had been sitting before) so then she takes the cookie scooper, which had old cookie dough crusted on to it, and starts to put the cookies on the sheet. Basically, my computer crashed recently and Im trying to retrieve my music from my iPod touch. Whilst browsing the web for a solution to this, I came accross a video on youtube telling me what to do, however one of the steps is to open my computer, and you should see your iPod in the devices section. The issue I have is that my ipod is Not in the devices section and I cant seem to find it. Nose piercing infection?

I got my nose pierced about a month ago. Since the beginning there was absolutely no problems, no bumps or anything. So I recently purchased a hoop for it. Although, a day before there seemed to look like a zit next to it, not directly on it, so I assumed there was nothing wrong. I bought the hoop and soaked it in rubbing alcohol and cleaned my nose with saltwater and switched the rings. The bump turned red and up til now has been pussing and when I go to bed the pus forms a crust in the morning and the bumps still there. Problems with upping from a 00 to 7/16ths?

I had 00 ear gauges for several months and about two weeks ago I decided that I wanted to go up to a 7/16th. The entire time I've been gauging my ears (the RIGHT way, doing one notch up at a time) I've never had bleeding or pussing. But upon trying to up to a 7/16th, it just wouldn't go in. It was so tough I had to make sure that it was the right size after 00. Since it was, I tried again... Still no luck. So, since it wasn't doing it the easy way, I took all the pre-causions. Took a hot shower, used vaseline to help lubricate, and took it very carefully. After minutes of trying to get just one in, I got it. The other one took a little less time. Well, the tapers are massive and hard to sleep on, but my ears were so sensitive and swollen that I couldn't change them. After three days, they finally moved around more and were less painful so I switch them out. Well, they're crusting pretty bad. Its not straight blood, its a mixture of puss and blood. Any time I try to take them out, it starts pussing and bleeding... not heavily but pretty good. I clean them, but I don't take them out because they're so sensitive. When I did take them out to change them, they don't look exploded or ripped. But I've never had that problem before so, maybe I just don't recognize the signs. There's nothing extreme looking going on with them besides the excess liquids. Any advice?

Whats wrong with my lip piercing?

I got my lip peirced about two months ago and it's been perfectly fine until now. It's not producing puss or crust or anything so it's most likely not infected but on the inside of my lip it seems my skin has formed kind of a lump...it's just like it's a little swollen lump on one side, tastes like an open wound. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't look like my skin will grow over the flat back at all..I just don't know what it is or how to make this swelling go down.
