What is life scientifically?

Life is the metabolic processes to maintain homeostasis. btw, it is impossible for life to form on its own. Problem being, Proteins are "formed" by when methane, water and other gases are sparked to bond into macromolecules. but oxygen is needed to create a metabolism. however at the same time, oxygen is reactive and would destroy any organic chemicals that would form. So oxygen is needed for life and oxygen would destroy primitive life. so life cannot form without a creator aka God.
