Ear piercing infection?

I just got my ears pierced six days ago and one ear in particular has been killing me. The other ear only hurt for the first two days, and now it feels perfectly fine. The one that I think is infected is still agonizingly painful. I just looked in the mirror and saw that my new piercing has sucked the stud in (it's a ball shape), and when I tried to push it out I saw a bit of blood and crust that I believe might be pus. This is my second ear piercing (I got the first when I was a baby.) Should I try and push it out? Should I rub ice on it to numb it first? Because it's infected, does this mean it's going to close up regardless of what I do if I have to take the earring out?
