How to treat the side effects of betnovate on the face?

basically i started using betnovate last year (i needed it for my exema on my arms and legs) and then i realised my face became smooth but when i stopped using it my face started coming out in spot and was itchy and becomes dry in the sun. i didnt realise that the betnovate contains strong steroids and now my skin is much worse than when it was before i used betnovate so please can anyone tell me wat to do
