Do I take tablet coated in gelatine?

I am not very well at all with a chest infection and the doc at the out of hours surgery has given me antibiotics that come in a casing that contains gelatine. I am so sick of coughing and my chest hurting that I really want to take them instead of waiting until tomorrow to get a liquid antibiotic, but I wanted to know other peoples opinions on this? Also I have been LO vegetarian for 7 years now.
