I got my belly button pierced about 5 weeks ago and now it has yellow puss coming out and its crusting a lil?

its crusting a little at the top and sometimes sticking at the bottom . my friend had a abses under her skin and didnt know it and got hers pierced . how can yu tell if you have one.?
